Guided tours will enhance your experience of Bannack and will allow you to ask questions as you think of them. Listen to stories that no self-guided tour book could tell. There are two different tours; town tours and mill tours.

Town tours last about an hour. Visitors get to go behind locked doors and hear stories of outlaws vs. lawmen, townspeople, school children, and historical happenings. This tour leaves from the Visitor Center at 2:00pm on weekdays (Monday through Friday), and at 10:30am and 3:00pm on weekends (starting Memorial Day weekend and lasting through Labor Day weekend).

Mill tours take about 50 minutes. Visitors on the tour are allowed in an otherwise restricted area, the Hendricks Mill. Learn about the variety of techniques used in mining. This tour is technical enough for geologists and miners and yet interesting enough for the common folk. The tour leaves from the Visitor Center at 12:00 noon and transports you in a 1931 Model AA Ford Truck to the site. This tour is available on Saturdays and Sundays during the summer months, or by appointment.

Guided tours are offered from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
